Support Services
The program will support veterans' participation through:
- Pre/post assessment testing in math, reading, and writing
- Identification of career goals
- Identification of personal and educational barriers
- Identification of academic strengths and academic needs
- Assistance with securing a high school diploma or GED certificate
- Supportive services needed to obtain a high school diploma or GED certificate
- College admissions and course selection
- Financial aid applications
- VA Benefits application process
- Academic and career advisement based on assessment needs
- Instructional support necessary for success in a postsecondary program of study
- Tutorial support
- Exposure to cultural events, academic programs, and other educational activities
- Activities designed to acquaint veterans participating in the program with the range of career options available to them
