The Arts Center
The Arts Center gives Scorpion musicians the specially designed rehearsal halls and teaching space they desperately needed and deserve. The main performance hall provides a stage large enough for the Bravo Opera Company, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Master Chorale, Mariachi Escorpión, Jazz Bands and other groups that distinguish this talented department.
The planning committee used the Brown Auditorium of The Kinkaid School in Houston as a model for The Arts Center.
This facility welcomes students from the community and Lower Rio Grande Valley for University Interscholastic League competitions, music festivals and music camps.
