Roberto Robles, M.D.

Dr. Roberto Robles has been serving on the TSC Board of Trustees since 1998. He was elected secretary of the board in 2008.

He was born in Raymondville. Robles was one of 14 children from a migrant farm worker family. He attended Texas Southmost College before finishing his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry at Pan American University. After receiving his clinical training at New York Medical College, Robles specialized in cardiology at the University of New Mexico.

He is the founder of the Brownsville Society for the Performing Arts and has been crucial in the development of the arts in the Rio Grande Valley. He is currently a partner in The Heart Institute in Brownsville.
