Academic Standards & Student Records Committee

The Academic Standards and Student Records Committee is a standing university committee of The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College (UTB/TSC). UTB/TSC HOOP Policy 5.2.4 further defines academic university committees and councils.

This committee reviews all standards related to the admission, retention and graduation of undergraduate and graduate students. In addition, the committee reviews all official policies related to student records. When warranted, the committee forwards recommendations regarding academic standards and student records to the Vice President for Academic Affairs for administrative review and action.

If we want our degrees to be valued, we need to have standards and uphold them. This is the charge of the ASSRC. So I feel good about serving on this committee; we’re doing something that really matters.
