UNDERGRADUATE CURRICULUM PROCESS

INSTRUCTIONS

Any additions, deletions and/or revisions to the undergraduate curriculum, including program changes (new programs, program revisions, and program deactivations) and course changes (new courses, course revisions, and course deactivations) normally originate with the Department faculty and are routed through the Departmental Curriculum Committee and the Department Chair to the School/College Curriculum Committee and the School/College Dean. The approved curriculum revisions are then forwarded to the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs for review by the Undergraduate University Curriculum Committee. Once reviewed and recommended for approval, the curriculum revisions are then forwarded to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs for final approval.

New degrees or programs will be forwarded by the Vice President for Academic Affairs to the UT System Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs for approval. The proposal will then be forwarded by the UT System to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for review and action. See HOOP 7.6.3.

Please submit original documents to the Office of Academic Affairs on the docketing date before 5:00 p.m.
