This workshop will assist faculty in preparing instructional materials using a writing-in-the-disciplines framework. Drawing on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, workshop leaders will discuss how to develop new instructional materials that integrate the principles of writing-to-learn, and writing-in-the-disciplines. Advice on integrating two of the Texas core competencies (critical thinking and communication) will be discussed fully, and others will be included in the overall discussion.
