Title V is a federally funded grant program to provide support to students attending Hispanic serving institutions (HSIs). The mission of the Title V program at the University of Texas at Brownsville is to assist Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) students in developing the skills of critical thinking, quantitative analysis, and effective communication that will sustain lifelong learning. The overarching goal of this Title V program is to develop the communication and information literacy competencies of UTB students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) related fields by implementing a culture of evidence that identifies and aligns best practices for improving student learning outcomes.
