      Everyday Heroes

 banner for everyday hero

Often we become so focused on our own lives that we do not notice how special the people around us are. Everyday Heroes seeks to show a new side to the people we often take for granted--students who are excelling in their courses or going above and beyond, and tutors and professors who are working to create a new kind of university. These are Everyday Heroes, and these are their stories.

Titile V has been very fortunate to have some of the best and brightest of the UTB/TSC community be a part of the team.  Ashley Vega is one of those special students.  Ashley, a sophomore biology major, not only excels at her own pursuits, but also channels that dedication to her work with the BECHS program as a biology tutor.  Ashley's dedication is unwavering, and she lives by her mantra of incorporating goal-oriented focus with time-management.  Proving that you can lead by example, Ashley even holds tutorial sessions on Saturdays.  Title V is proud to have Ashley Vega as one of its Everyday Heros.

Heriberto Reynosa is a senior computer science major who has a passion for robotics. He was first introduced to the field early in high school, when his neighbor gave him a kit for an RC (radio-controlled) car. From there, his older brother encouraged Heriberto to delve further into the field, and delve he did. His studies have led him to national robotics competitions and NASA internships. In addition, he often holds workshops on robotics, sharing his passion with those who want to learn. He aims to one day work at NASA in the field he loves. Written By: David Boon
