2013 summer MATH boot CAMP Workshops
Dear Students,
If you need to get prepared for your math courses in the up-coming Fall semester or you are interested in testing out of Pre-Cal, Calculus, or College Algebra, you are invited to attend this series of Summer Math Boot Camp mini review workshops.
These workshops have been carefully designed to fit the academic needs of all students, and proven to be very beneficial in improving mathematics skills and overall academic performance.
This series of summer math camp mini review workshops are FREE to all admitted UTB students. Each workshop session will take two weeks and students who pass the post test will be awarded with opportunities to take part in an exciting educational trip to NASA Space Center in Houston, TX.

PARTICIPATION CRITERIA:
The candidates for College Algebra should be students who satisfy the following criteria:
•interested in testing out of college algebra or pre-calculus
•passed the third level of developmental math
•passed high school level II algebra
•did not pass the College Algebra course/test and need a review course before
retaking it.
The candidates for Pre-Calculus and Calculus should be students who satisfy the following criteria:
•must be college ready- defined as being successful in an assessment exam
sanctioned by Texas Success Initiative (THEA, ASSET, ACCUPLACER, or
COMPASS)
•have taken Algebra I & II and Geometry at a high school level
•have taken high school level Pre-Calculus and/or Calculus course
Note: students that have taken dual enrollment and/or advanced placement courses are highly encouraged to take these review sessions.
