What can I do with a major in?

Choosing a career and major are two of the most important things you will do while you are in college. Career decisions can influence your life in many areas. The kind of job you have will affect who your fiends are, where you live, and perhaps, even the kind of car you drive.

Please keep in mind that your major does not always determine your career. There isn't any one "right" career choice, but a series of options to choose from that match your background. Career planning is a process, it changes as career fields change.

The links below can help you start the career exploration process.

It may be helpful to think of careers in terms of clusters as they relate to each other. The State of Texas has developed 16 career clusters grouping occupations based on commonalities.
