Admission

The Polysomnography Program has limited enrollment. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that they meet the admission requirements below and that all their documents and scores are submitted on time. Only complete application files will be reviewed for admission. Applicants accepted into the program must also meet the clinical requirements before being placed for clinical sessions.

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED

• UTB/TSC “Online Undergraduate Admissions Application” (if not yet UTB/TSC students)
• Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended to the Office of Admissions
• Completed Polysomnography Program admission application to the program coordinator(Paper copies of the application are available at Allied Health Department.)

Minimum Academic Requirements

• Admission to UTB/TSC
• Prerequisite courses:
  • Biology 2301, 2101: Anatomy & Physiology I
  • Biology 2302, 2102: Anatomy & Physiology II
  • English 1301: Composition I *
  • HPRS 1106: Medical terminology
• Program of study declaration (one of the following):
  • Biology
  • Respiratory therapy
  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Nursing (Bachelor of Applied Technology)

* A grade of C or better is required for graduation. 

Clinical Requirements

• Criminal background check
• CPR certification
• Personal health insurance
