Educational Advantages of the MBRS RISE Program

MBRS RISE workshops are designed for students to be more competitive when applying to Ph.D. programs; increase writing, humanities and communications skills; and prepare students for the rigors of science. Specially designed workshops will include admissions, humanities, interview skills, and math to prepare students to synthesize information, stimulate thought, write more effectively, gain confidence in speaking and interacting with others, and improve overall communication skills.

Scholars will participate in national scientific conferences, stimulating seminars and journal clubs. Students will have opportunities to network with world-renowned scientists in informal settings.
