Service Learning project: 

My trickle up project for the Spring 2010 semester was with Dr. Montalvo, a Nursing professor. We worked together on the 11th Annual Bike-A-Thon to help the Make a Wish Foundation. For me, being part of this beautiful project was very rewarding. By helping, we were able to plant a seed for those kids who, unfortunately, have cancer, but who still can enjoy life until the last moment! We helped setting up with the admission and giving out water bottles and fruit and we also distributed T-shirts. I also made several calls for donations and distributed flyers about the event at different locations.

It was very nice to see people having fun riding their bikes and at the same time they were helping the Make a Wish Foundation.
