Scorpion Challenge is a joint venture between the Office of Student Life and the Center for Civic Engagement.
Our goal is to get faculty, staff, and students involved in their community through volunteering in different projects hosted under Scorpion Challenge. Together we can all make a difference.
Sergio Martinez, Student Life Director, and Dr. Bussert-Webb decided to combine the Scorpion Challenge and the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for UTB/TSC students, faculty, and staff. Those who complete at least 20 verified hours of volunteer service in their communities will log in their hours will receive a free Scorpion Challenge T-shirt; supplies are limited, so beat the pack.
The Scorpion Challenge is also featured on the Student Life website. Student Life will promote this initiative to students and the CCE will promote it to students and staff. Although the Scorpion Challenge existed last year, it only had one participant, Estela Martinez, CCE’s Administrative Assistant; furthermore, it was only for UTB/TSC students.
