Biography:

Dr. Matt Johnson has been a member of the faculty since September 1999. Prior to joining UTB he completed his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology at Texas Tech University. Dr. Johnson has also received a M.S. in General Experimental Psychology from Emporia State University, and a B.A. in Psychology/Sociology from Northwest Missouri State University in 1991. Dr. Johnson’s research interests are in the area of cognitive psychology, but he remains active in other areas such as acculturation and dating, teaching of psychology, student retention, and breast cancer. In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Johnson enjoys performing jazz music at local venues.
