Biography:

Lilly Morales is an English Lecturer in Composition I and II. She received her BA from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN in 2002 and a MFA from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, NM in 2005.

At the center of her teaching philosophy is Socrates’ famous argument “know thyself” to be wise. In her courses she utilizes readings, discussions, and writing assignments which embark students on a voyage of self discovery, which leads them on a greater voyage to discover the world and all that encompasses this world in a meaningful and profound way necessary for truth, knowledge, and wisdom.

When not teaching or grading, she is busy being happy with her two amazing boys, Eliseo and Etienne, and her husband. She also writes shorts stories, nonfiction, and is working on and off on a novel about life in the Rio Grande Valley.
