Biography:
Charles Dameron, professor of English, has served at UTB for 25 years. He earned his B.A. degree from Duke University and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a widely published poet, with 5 collections of poems and more than 130 individual poems published in a variety of literary magazines. He has recently returned to teaching after serving as a department chair, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, and Vice President for Academic Affairs. A recipient of the Chancellor’s Outstanding Teaching Award from The University of Texas System, Professor Dameron teaches creative writing and a variety of courses in American and world literature.
