Ms. Elizabeth Vidaurri

Elizabeth Gill Vidaurri is a Brownsville native who attended Texas Southmost College on the Frank and Mary Yturria Scholarship and earned an M.A. in English and a B.S. in education with a minor in art from Pan American University.
Before joining the TSC faculty in 1981, she taught at all levels, including adult continuing education.
Vidaurri writes short stories and creative nonfiction. Teaching rhetoric as not a premeditated career path but a logical progression in her development as a writer, as her parents were former journalists. Her scholarship interests include classical, medieval, and modern literature, and the intersection of these in culture.
Art, opera, architecture, along with interior and fashion design, are also interests.
