Terry Garrett (Ph.D., University of Oklahoma) has doctoral field concentrations in public administration, comparative politics, and international relations. Dr. Garrett is currently a professor of government at UTB, having previously served as department chair (2010-2012), provost fellow for leadership (2010), and Master of Public Policy & Management (MPPM) graduate advisor (2007-2010). He has published works in journals such as the International Journal of Social Economics, International Journal of Organization Behavior and Theory, Administration & Society, American Review of Public Administration, and Administrative Theory & Praxis. Dr. Garrett served (2009-2011) as the chair for the Section on Historical, Artistic and Reflective Expression (SHARE) of the American Society for Public Administration and currently serves an advisory editor for its journal, Public Voices. Recently he was elected to serve on the board of Section on Public Administration Research (SPAR) (2012-2015) and was named the outstanding reviewer for the International Journal of Social Economics in 2012. His current research is concerned with phenomenology and organizational theory, homeland security, and the postmodern turn in public administration.
