Biography:

He studied in Barcelona Autonomous University (Barcelona, Spain), where he obtained his BA + MA in Translation and Interpreting and a PhD in Translation and Cross-Cultural Studies. He also studied in Dublin City University (Dublin, Ireland), Toyo University (Tokyo, Japan) and the State University of New York at Binghamton (New York), where he obtained an MA in Spanish Literature.

He is the coordinator of the undergraduate and graduate Translation Programs in UTB, and the Director of the Translation and Interpreting Office (T&iO) (utb-translation.org) in the Department of Modern Languages. He also coordinates a fully online MA program in Audiovisual Translation by the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain ( http://mem.uab.es/metav/)

He has been teaching Translation, Interpreting, Spanish and Japanese Language since 1999 in Barcelona Autonomous University (Spain), State University of New York at Binghamton and Hunter College of New York. He also worked as a professional interpreter and translator, editor of encyclopedias, reference works and multimedia products, working in English, Spanish, Japanese and Catalan.

Ph.D. in Translation and Cross-Cultural Studies from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain.
MA in Spanish Literature from the State University of New York at Binghamton, NY.
