Carmen Bestué teaches Translation Spanish in the B.A and M.A. programs in Translation and Intercultural Studies programs offered by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain. She obtained her J.D. in Law from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, a B.A. in Comparative Law at the Université du Droit Comparé in Paris, studied Intellectual Property Law and International Business Law at the University of California at Berkeley, and successfully defended her doctoral dissertation on instrumental legal translations at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Doctor Bestué has been teaching Legal Translation for a decade and has taught at ESERP University in Barcelona and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Before teaching translation, she was a practicing attorney in Spain and Mexico and a freelance translator in Barcelona.
