Jorge Jiménez-Bellver holds a Master's Degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Master's Degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Alicante, Spain and a B.A. + M.A. Degree in English Studies from the University of Alicante, Spain. He has worked extensively in English to Spanish and Catalan technical translation, as well as English and Spanish language teaching, in Spain, Ireland and the US. He completed a traineeship at the Spanish Department of the Directorate General for Translation, European Commission, in Brussels, Belgium. His doctoral dissertation focuses on the politics of Translation in Latin America.
