The 2012–2013 academic year marks the 10th Anniversary of the University Master Chorale. It will also mark the end of my tenure as the conductor of the Master Chorale and my retirement as the Director of Choral Studies for the University of Texas at Brownsville.

In celebration of these events, we would like to invite you back to the campus to participate in a weekend of very special activities including a rehearsal and concert and a Saturday evening reception. The schedule is as follows:

  • Rehearsal
    9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 13
    (Breakfast and lunch provided)
  • Reception
    7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 13
  • Concert
    3 p.m. Sunday, April 14
    (1:30 call)

The concert will feature the 2012–2013 Master Chorale during the first half and the Master Chorale Alumni chorus combined with the current Master Chorale during the second half. Music to be rehearsed and performed will be five selections that represent music performed by the Master Chorale through the years and will be provided to you prior to the rehearsal.

As your former conductor, I am extremely excited and honored to share this memorable time with you. If you plan to join us for the Master Chorale reunion performance weekend, please respond by Friday March 8. For those who will be able to participate, we will contact you again soon with more specific details for the weekend. Also, if you know of a former Master Chorale member please send us their information.

It is with much anticipation I look forward to hearing from each of you!

Sincerely,

Dianne Brumley
