As the outreach division of the UTB Department of Music, one of the goals of the UTB Music Academy is to provide an opportunity for children in need to receive music instruction at no cost to their family.  There is immense talent in the Rio Grande Valley community and we hope to cultivate it by making prestigious instruction available to all.

We believe that, by inviting children to receive lessons on the UTB campus, we are instilling a value for higher education from an early age.  Students who are a part of the UTB Music Academy are mentored by music professors and music majors on a weekly basis.  This type of interaction is unique and can impact a child for a lifetime.  Investing in the next generation is one of our highest priorities.

The UTB Music Academy cannot provide this type of opportunity without the help of sponsors.  We hope that you will consider partnering with us to make a difference in the lives of students in our community.

Your gift of $250.00 will allow a child to receive music instruction for a full semester and participate in a recital performance that you will be invited to attend.  If you would like to sponsor more than one child, we invite you to do so.

If you would like more information about the sponsorship program or if you would like to set up an appointment to discuss becoming a donor, please feel free to contact Nicolas Hurtado at (956) 882-7703 or
