Professor Allen Clark joins the music department as a nationally recognized conductor of award winning bands and as a music educator with over 30 years of successful teaching experience. He holds a B.M. and an M.M. from Sam Houston State University, a Certificate of Supervision from The University of Texas—Pan American and a Mid-management Certificate in Administration from The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College. He is currently a member of the University Interscholastic League steering committee, which establishes and directs the rules and regulations of UIL at the state level. He is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, and Phi Beta Mu. He is in demand as a clinician and adjudicator, and conducts many seminars and in-services related to music education. Mr. Clark has served as the director for the UTB/TSC Wind Ensemble since its inception and also teaches music education, brass choir, trombone, and brass methods. Mr. Clark maintains an active performance schedule as a conductor and a trombonist.
