Accounting Technology Degree Program Student Learning Outcomes
- Students will be able to apply the specialized accounting skills and knowledge needed to analyze, classify and record business transactions in a manual environment for a service or merchandise business.
- Upon completion of the program, students will be able to demonstrate through their cooperative education work experience effective written and oral communication skills, the ability to work cooperatively with others, and the basic communication skills needed in the workplace.
- Students will be able to use spreadsheet and specialized accounting software in accounting applications in a computerized business environment.
- Students will be able to identify, discuss and evaluate ethical issues and decisions in accounting case studies.
Business Management Support Degree Program Student Learning Outcomes
- Upon graduation, students will be able to clearly communicate information using appropriate software (e.g., PowerPoint) as needed in an office environment.
- Upon graduation, students will be able to utilize various software products to enhance document and presentation design, layout, functionality, and appearance to workforce related documents.
- Upon graduation, students will be able to apply general office-related skills and knowledge as demonstrated in their cooperative education work experience.
Medical Office Management Degree Program Student Learning Outcomes
- Upon completion of the program, the student will be able to apply diagnostic coding, procedural coding, medical terminology and insurance billing sued in a medical office.
- The student will be able to apply the computer, communication and human relations skills needed to effectively work in a medical office environment as demonstrated through their cooperative education work experience.
- Upon graduation, the student will be able to create, organized and file medical records.
- Upon graduation, the student will be able to specify medical insurance and billing procedures relevant to the day-to-day operations of a medical office.
Paralegal Studies Degree Program Student Learning Outcomes
- Upon graduation, the student will demonstrate the use of specialized legal terminology.
- Upon graduation, the student will apply ethical rules related to the legal profession.
