Dr. Escotet elected Vice president of the International Association for Innovation in Higher Education.
Dr. Miguel Angel Escotet, Dean of the College of Education at UTB/TSC, was elected Vice president of the Board of Directors of the International Association for Innovation in Higher Education for the 2009-2012 term. The appointment was announced this past week during the International Forum on University Innovation held in Santiago, Chile, where Dr. Escotet delivered the closing keynote titled: "Unresolved Matters of Latin American Universities: Innovation and Change." The Association is composed of scholars specialized in Higher Education teaching and research, and universities with graduate programs in such fields from both the Americas and Europe. It is sponsored by the Organization of Iberoamerican States (OEI), UNESCO and the BBVA Innovation Center, as well as by member universities. (July 2009)
