Dr. Reynaldo Ramirez, received the Nita Beth Camp Legacy Award 2011
Dr. Reynaldo Ramirez, Associate Professor for Secondary and Science Education has been recognized statewide by the Texas Regional Collaboratives for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching during the 17th Annual Meeting of the TRC. In 1978, Dr. Ramirez left the classroom to become Brownsville ISD's elementary and secondary science specialist. In 1996, He became a senior lecturer in the School of Education at UT-Brownsville. He is currently the chair for the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Innovation. Dr. Ramirez was presented the prestigious Nita Beth Camp Legacy Award from the Texas Regional Collaborative for a lifetime of dedication and leadership in teaching and mentoring by the TRC's executive director, Dr. Kamil Jbeily and Dr. James P. Barufaldi, Ruben E. Hinojosa Regents Professor and Director of the Center for Science and Mathematics Education at the University of Texas at Austin.
