Area of Specialty and Responsibility:

Kip Austin Hinton teaches undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral courses in the department of Language, Literacy, and Intercultural Studies. He serves on and chairs dissertation and thesis committees for students within the Bilingual Studies specialization. Dr. Hinton is chair of the College of Education’s NCATE Diversity Committee, and leads the interdepartmental Spanish EC-12 Council. He is the faculty advisor for the campus chapter of BESO, the Bilingual Education Student Organization, and MAC, a student group that promotes equity for undocumented students.
