Dr. Guillermo Weber is the LSAMP director at the University of Texas at Brownsville. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and served as Chair of the Department of Engineering until 2007. Since 2006, Dr. Weber has encouraged many students from STEM disciplines to pursue higher education by providing them research opportunities through the LSAMP program. He has been an extraordinary advocate of the LSAMP program at UT Brownsville.
