Snow Goggles Messenger Education Module, Staying Cool Unit
http://btc.montana.edu/ceres/MESSENGER/teachers/Modules/SnoGogIntro.htm
By studying ancient solutions to the problem of excessive sunlight on human vision, we can better understand the process of designing the solar panels on the MESSENGER spacecraft. Students will build snow goggles similar to those used by the Inuit peoples.

Venus Topography Box
http://quilt.jpl.nasa.gov/
Students learn how to map the topography of a "planet" whose surface is hidden from view. Remote sensing, measuring, surface features, mapping, and intercepting data are all part of this activity.
