General education core curriculum requirements apply to all bachelor’s degrees. Students who have earned an Academic Associate Degree from a Texas Publi​c Institution of Higher Education on or after January 1997 will be considered to have met the general education core curriculum requirements applicable to any future bachelor’s degree.

020 - Mathematics (1 course – 3 hours required; minimum grade of C)

030 - Natural Science (2 courses, 2 labs – 8 hours required)

040 - Humanities (1 course – 3 hours required)

050 - Visual and Performing Arts (1 course – 3 hours required)

060 - History (2 courses – 6 hours required)

070 - Government (2 courses – 6 hours required)

080 - Social and Behavioral Sciences (1 course – 3 hours required)

090 - Institutionally Designated Option (2 courses – 4 hours required)
