The University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB) is committed to providing a space beyond the classroom that encourages student learning. Part-time employment on campus affords the student the opportunity to acquire and enhance certain workplace skills, knowledge, and abilities that are transferable and can be the foundation for building a resume.
The goal of the Student Works program at UTB is to increase student retention, increase student engagement and reduce time to graduate for UTB students. We know that on-campus employment, of less than 20 hours per week and in their fields of study, enables students to earn money while they learn, strengthening their relationships with university faculty and staff, while adding greater value to their educational experience.
Many opportunities exist on campus in which you may earn while becoming a valuable part of the campus community. Read more about the types of jobs available.
All available student jobs are posted on UTB Career Connection at Career Services. Students hired by on-campus departments will be registered for the payroll and be paid bi-weekly. You must be enrolled at least half-time to work on campus, as well as meet other academic and employment criteria.
