Veteran’s Counseling

The following counseling services are available for all veterans:

  • Treatment for PTSD (depression, anxiety, paranoia, sleeping disorders)
  • Family problems
  • Adjustment to reintegration into civilian life
  • Alcohol/substance abuse
  • Provision of supportive group counseling where interested students can share and  discuss  their experiences, while providing a safe setting for the expressions of feelings associated with those experiences

 Other services:

  • Assistance with accessing entitlements for both veteran students and their families
  • Finding Housing
  • Advocacy with Judicial system for those incarcerated due to minor violations or to alcohol/substance abuse

 Female Veteran’s Counseling

Gender-specific services for female veteran students:

  • Counseling services for those who have been sexually assaulted
  • Counseling with problems regarding reunification with partner and children
  • Post  traumatic stress disorders
  • Counseling for those who have undergone mastectomies (due to war related cancer or war violence)
