Mr. Alfredo Mercuri, a native of Argentina, is a Lecturer for the Modern Language Department who joined UTB as a full time faculty since November 2009, after working, at the same institution since 2007 as a part time instructor.

Mr. Mercuri holds a MA in Leadership and Organizational Studies with emphasis in Conflict Management, and a Graduate Diploma in Translation. He is also a State Certified Medical Interpreter. As a faculty member for the Modern Language Department at UTB, he teaches lower level courses such as Elementary Spanish, SPAN 2315 and Basis Spanish for Bilingual Students, SPAN 2321 and 2322. He also teaches courses for undergraduate and graduate students for the Interpreting and Translation program, SPAN 2316 and TRSP 4366.

He is also involved in the development of online courses for the Graduate Certificate in Spanish Translation and in teaching courses such as INTG 6379 Medical Terminology for the same program.
