COE Graduate Program in Educational Technology is Awarded Top National Education Ranking 2012
U.S. News & World Report has released the national rankings for the first time, undergraduate and graduate online programs. These rankings in Graduate Education, related to Student Services and Instructional Technology show the University of Texas at Brownsville, College of Education Master Degree Online Program in Educational Technology rating 14th out of 151 U.S. Higher Education institutions. Additionally, this COE graduate program is one of four from Texas in the top 15 in the nation.
Juanita Urbano, a UTB employee, recently received her master’s in education degree in educational technology.
As presented above, this awarded rank refers to the category of Student Services and Instructional Technology. This category recognizes those programs that incorporate quality diverse online learning technologies and provides greater flexibility for students to take classes by the methods and at the times of their choosing. When used adeptly, technologies help replicate the audio and visual feeling of a traditional educational experience. Outside of classes, student services available online further simulate the benefits of being on campus by providing commensurate learning and networking opportunities.
